Blackening Spices for Fish
2 Tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. onion powder
2 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. white pepper
1 tsp. black pepper
2 Tbsp. thyme
2 Tbsp. oregano
2 Tbsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. basil
Fish of choice
Mix spice ingredients well and store in an
airtight container.
Sprinkle spice mixture generously on fish pieces. Brown
in a buttered cast iron pan. Remove fish from pan and
place in a lightly buttered baking dish. Bake at 350' for
8 to 10 minutes until fish flakes. Can be used on chicken,
beef, pork or shrimp.
TIP: Spice keeps in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
