Green Pepper Steak Stir-Fry Recipe
4 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tbsp. soy sauce
3 green onions, cut into 1 in. pieces
1/2 lb. beef sirloin, cut into thin slices 1 1/2 in. long
1 tomato, cut into wedges, or 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes cut in half
1 tsp. sugar
1 cup beef broth
1 to 2 tbsp. oil
1/2 green pepper, cut into strips
Hot cooked rice
In small bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, ginger, broth and soy sauce ; mix well, set a side.
In large skillet, heat oil ; stir-fry onions and green peppers until crisp-tender. Remove vegetables and set a side. Add more oil if necessary and stir-fry meat until browned. Add broth mixture ; cook stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens. stir in vegetables and tomato. Serve over hot rice.
