Fresh Fruit Pizza
Fresh Fruit Pizza
Crust:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup butter (room temperature)
1 1/2 cups flour.
Mix and pat in 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350' for 10 - 15 mins. until edges brown. Cool.
Sauce:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese(softened)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla.
Mix together and spread on cooled crust.
Cut various fresh or canned fruits in small pieces or thin slices. (There are many fresh fruits that may be used; nectarines, peaches, grapes, blueberries, cantaloupe, bananas, plums, kiwi fruit and fresh or canned pineapples.)
Place the fruit in a single layer on the cream cheese layer.
Glaze:
2 tbls. cornstarch
1 cup fruit juice (pineapple or grapefruit)
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice.
Heat this mixture until it boils. It will thicken as it cools. Drizzle the glaze over the fresh fruit layer.
