Jello Cake Recipe

This recipe was my father-laws favorite dessert to have when everybody gathered together on our one Sunday a month dinner.

1 white cake mix
1-3oz.box red jello
12 oz. Cool whip.

Mix and bake cake according to directions on box. Cool. Poke holes in cake with fork. Dissolve jello in 2 cups boiling water. Slowly pour over entire cake. Frost with Cool whip. Chill for 3 hours before serving.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad Recipe

 1 1/2 c. broken pretzels 1/2 c. butter, melted 1/2 c. sugar 8 oz. cream cheese 16 oz. Cool Whip 1/2 c. sugar 13 oz. can pineapple with juice 1-1/2 c. strawberries Crush pretzels, melt butter. Mix together pretzels, butter and 1/2 c. sugar. Bake in pan covered with tin foil at 350' for 10 mins. Break apart after baking. Store in covered container. Beat 8 oz. cream cheese, fold in 16 oz. Cool Whip. Stir in 1/2 c. sugar and pineapple with juice. Stir in pretzels and Strawberries just before serving. Secret Recipe Brownies

Ground Beef Chow Mein

Ground beef Chow Mein recipe 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 cup celery, diced 1/2 teas. salt 1/4 teas. pepper 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup water 1 cup chow mein vegetables 1 small can of mushrooms, drained 3 cups cooked white rice Chow mein noodles Brown ground beef, onions and celery until beef in browned and celery tender, not mushy. Drain off fat. Add water, salt, pepper, soy sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add vegetables, mushrooms, then stir, add soup. Mix together, simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve over white rice. Topped with Chow Mein noodles. Delicious!
